Tetford is a tranquil village where you can escape to relax in beautiful surroundings.  Our  2 private fishing lakes at Tetford Country Cottages are stocked with Common Carp, Mirror Carp, Crucian Carp, Roach, Rudd, Perch, Tench, Bream and Chub.  The main fishing lake being around 3 acres with 5 islands.  It has ample secluded pegs and platforms, and open space for bank side fishing.  There are various Lilly beds some natural to the lake and some in barrels which were added in 2012.   They make perfect features around the lake to fish to.

Our smaller lake is ideal for the novice angler and also stocks the same species.

Our site is suitable for people with limited mobility.  All of our cottages are ground floor only.  We have wheelchair pegs with paved access plus several other pegs which can be reached over relatively level ground by mobility scooter.

There are fishery toilet facilities and a tackle store buildings with bait fridges.

 

There is an abundance of wildlife around the lake, kingfishers, owls, water voles, to name but a few we also have our very own red necked terrapin which can be seen basking around the waters edge.

Our fishery rules are simple and designed to protect the fish and lakes.
